The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550034 referenced in your question has three possible hitch height settings, depending on what you are needing to tow your trailer level. It can be adjusted to 15-1/4 inches, 16-1/2 inches or 18 inches in height.
This is a great 5th wheel hitch that features an automatic slider so you do not need to get in and out of your truck every time you need to make sharp turns. The premium wraparound, single-piece jaw will provide a secure connection and less rattle when towing your trailer. It has a gross towing weight of 18,000 pounds and a vertical load limit of 4,500 pounds.
I have included a demonstration video on this product for you to check out.
The hitch is compatible with industry standard, above-bed base rails. If this is what you have installed in your truck, then you will be able to use your existing rails. If your Pullrite uses custom rails designed only for your hitch, then you will need to install a new set of compatible rails. If you are able to give me the year, make and model of your truck, I will be happy to recommend custom-fit base rails.
