Question:
Im in need of a Thule bike rack and wanted to get your advice on which is best for my car. First can I put a hitch on this car and 2nd I need a bike rack that doesnt need to be removed to open truck, need it just fold down if possible. Let me know which one you think is best.

Yes, you can put a hitch on your 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. You can use # 24926. This is a Class I hitch, which is all that is available for the Jetta, which means you are limited to a maximum of 2 bikes on a bike rack that is rated for use on a Class I hitch.
The only Thule bike racks that will work with a Class I hitch and that can tilt down with bikes loaded are the T2 Pro XTR # TH23JV.
If it doesn't have to be a Thule bike rack you could use the Kuat Transfer # KU74FR. Both of these bike racks hold the bikes at the wheels and can tilt with the bikes loaded. I have linked videos of these racks for you.
