Replacement Hub Assemblies for Trailer with L44649 Bearings and 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern

Question:

I have a Yacht Club 2003 or 2004 dual Jet Ski trailer that I want to replace the hubs on. The certificate of origin for the trailer says the GVWR is 2050. I can only read the number on one of the bearings. Its 44649. When I place the larger part of the bearings together they all appear to be the same size. The spindle does not have a zerk fitting on it however, the hub itself does. Its located on the section of the hub where the inner bearing goes behind the tire. Unless something happens unexpectedly the trailer is only dunked in the saltwater twice a year once in and once out. I would prefer to replace the hubs with something similar that has a zerk fitting . My tires are 5.30 - 12 with 5 lugs. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Expert Reply:

Both of your bearings are # L44649 and your axle is likely rated for 2,000 pounds.

The correct hub and drum assembly for your trailer is # AKHD-545-2-2K. We don't carry any hubs that have a zerk fitting however you can use the standard hubs with a Bearing Buddy to make greasing them easier. I've linked our selection of Bearing Buddies for you.

If you don't need the brake drum and only want the idler hub use # AKIHUB-545-2-2K instead.
