Can a # S64650 Swagman XC Bike Rack be Attached to a Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier
Question:
I have your S64650 bike carrier and would like to know if you have a cargo carrier that I can attach it to? In other words, do you have something where I could maybe remove the 2 adapter and slide 1 1/2 part into the rear of a cargo carrier?

We do not carry any item like you describe that would allow you to use your Swagman XC bike rack with a cargo carrier. If such an item were available, using it would not be advisable. The rear of a cargo carrier would typically extend 2-1/2 to 3 feet beyond the rear bumper of the vehicle. If a bike rack were to be attached to the rear of that, the entire assembly would extend approximately 5 to 6 feet beyond the bumper. The resulting leverage would without a doubt damage the receiver and probably the vehicle frame members that the hitch is attached to.
A better option would be to use a roof mounted cargo basket like the Yakima OffGrid Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part # Y07138. If you would care to respond with the year, make and model of your vehicle and any information regarding an existing roof rack, I would be happy to make some further recommendations for you.
