A weight distribution system can potentially last for a long time. However, if any of the parts are showing excessive wear or rust I recommend at least replacing those components. If you have specific parts of a Blue Ox Sway Pro that are questionable then check the link I've attached of all the replacement parts we offer.

If you feel it makes more sense to replace the entire system let me know the trailer's loaded tongue weight and I can make a recommendation for you.
