To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885, on your 2000 Ford E-350 cargo van, you may need several addtional parts, depending on what options the van has. If your van came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, you will just need wiring adapter # 3035-P.
You will plug the harness in at the factory port located under the dash, to the left of the steering column. I have included a link to the installation details for the brake controller and wiring harness for reference.
If the van came with a factory installed 4-Way trailer connector, you will need both the # 90885 and the # 3035-P and install it according to the instructions. You will also need to add Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, # 37185. The blue brake wire will need to be ran from this connector to the brake controller using # 10-1-1. If 12 volt power (black wire) is also required by the trailer, wiring will need to be ran for it as well. It will connect to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker, # PK54540.
If your van did not come with any kind of trailer connector. You will need the brake controller by itself, # 90885, Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118344, and a 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. I have included links that explain and show how to install an ETBC7 kit that will walk you through the process.
