Can the motorized lid be controlled to open partially, or is it all up and all down? Thanks,

With the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus # MA00-04500K when you press the lid open/close button the lid either completely closes or completely opens. It will not stop in between.

The thermostat of the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan #MA00-04500K that you referenced is integrated into the fan assembly base. You would not need to have a thermostat on your vehicle for this to wire into.
