Installing Lend-a-Hand Folding Grab Handle on Ridged RV Siding

Question:

I am thinking of purchasing the Lend-A-Hand handrail for my camper, but all of the installations I have seen have been on flat rv walls. My camper has metal siding that is not flat. Will the brackets fit between the raised parts of the siding? And if so, has it been designed so that both the top and bottom brackets will land between raised parts of the siding? Thank you.

The Lend-a-Hand Folding Grab Handle # AM-200 referenced in your question is a universal fit item that just requires installation to a strong enough underlying surface behind the RV outer wall.

I went out to the warehouse to take some measurements of the mounting hardware. The actual mounting brackets measure 2-5/16 inches wide x 3-7/8 inches in height. I recommend measuring the space between the raised portions of your siding to see if the brackets will fit between them and onto a flat surface. The space between the two mounting brackets is 19-1/4 inches, so you can check to see based on where you plan on installing the handle where exactly the brackets will be located on your RV.

I have included a couple of images with these dimensions for you to look at.
