Will the Tekonsha P3, part # 90195 Drain my 2009 Dodge Ram Battery While the Vehicle is Off
Question:
Does this controler have an on/off switch or turn off automatically. I have seen two different remarks here saying it does and it doesnt. Will it drain my battery it I dont use my truck for a few days?

Expert Reply:
The Tekonsha P-3, part # 90195, will go into a sleep mode after several minutes of no activity. The power draw while in this sleep mode is so small that it is really not worth worrying about, certainly not enough to discharge your battery.
If it would make you feel better, you could unplug the harness from the rear of the unit if the vehicle will be left for long periods of time.
