Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-53 Chassis Motorhome
Question:
I have a 2017 class a motorhome on a Ford f-53/e 450 chassis. I need a trailer brake controller and pigtail. Im getting conflicting advice from dealers including Ford as to which pigtail and controller to use. My local Ford dealers refuse to install and OEM setup. Ill be pulling an 18foot 2 axle car trailer. Your advice is appreciated. Thanks

The Ford F-53 chassis uses brake controller wiring harness # 3035-P to install a brake controller like the P3 part # 90195. I attached a picture that will show you where to find this connector under the dash of your RV as well.
The P3 is the best controller you can get and will be the last one you ever buy too. It works by sensing how much braking power your vehicle is applying and putting a proportional amount of braking power back to the trailer's brakes.
