Parts Needed to Install Prodigy RF Brake Controller on 2016 Jeep Wrangler with 4-Pole Wiring
Question:
Good morning I own a jeep wrangler 2016 with factory installed 4 Way tailer connector. I plan to buy the wireleess Teconsha Prodigy. Do I need the ETBC7 item. It seems that I do not need to install the wiring to the brake pedal? A bit confused, Please help.

To install the Prodigy RF wireless trailer brake controller # TK94FR in your 4-pole equipped 2016 Jeep Wrangler you will need the # ETBC7 installation kit. The Prodigy RF requires that the vehicle have a 7-way with all functions active, including 12V power to operate the RF. The trailer's 7-way then plugs in to the socket on the trailer-mounted control box. Since this system is wireless no brake pedal connection is needed.
Please refer to the linked diagram for help in determining the best mounting point on the trailer for the RF control unit. And you can refer t the linked article and video for installation guidance.
