I bought a trailer was missing dust caps tried 21/2 dust cap a little to big what woul be the next one down

We have dust caps that have an outer diameter of 2.441 inches which would be a little bit smaller than what you tried.

For that you would want the part # RG04-080.

They closest dust cap we have to a 2.437 is going to be the 2.44" OD item #RG04-080. These have the removable rubber plugs for easy access to the axle's grease zerk. I have linked a review video below.
