Question:
can the equalizer hitch be used on a 22foot car hauler? I see a lot of references on using on RVs... please advise... thx

Unless the manufacturer of your 22 foot car hauler states you cannot use a weight distribution system and as long as the trailer has an A-Frame style tongue, an Equal-i-zer System like # EQ37100ET that you were looking at can be used and will provide a great solution for leveling the trailer and providing you with more stability and control when traveling.
When choosing the best weight distribution system, the most important factor to consider is the total tongue weight of your towing setup. This will include both the loaded tongue weight of your car hauler along with any weight coming from behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. You will want this number to fall somewhere around the middle of the weight capacity range of the system you choose.
For example, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System mentioned above has a tongue weight capacity of 600 to 1,000 pounds. If the total tongue weight of your trailer falls somewhere between that range, this will be a good option.
