Will The Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63155 Clear Rear Mount Spare Tire on 2006 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have a 2006 Wrangler with the spare tire in the rear/tailgate. I am mounting a Class II hitch 1 1/4. With this cargo rack, will it come up under my spare tire, get in the way of it, or will it go out past the edge of my tire and not be in the way. I like the raised feature.

The Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63155, provides 11 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front edge of the carrier. This distance should allow sufficient clearance as to not interfere with your spare tire, but there are a few measurements you can take to be certain.
First, you will want to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole, out 11 Inches. This is where the front edge of the cargo carrier will sit. From that point you can measure up 3 Inches to compensate for the raised feature of the carrier. Then you can measure an additional 5-1/2 inches, as the side rails are 5-1/2 inches tall.
The final point will be where the front top edge of the carrier will sit, when mounted to your 2006 Jeep Wrangler with Class II 1-1/4 inch hitch.
In addition to the Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier, you will need a pin and clip to secure part # 63155 to your hitch. For this you will need Pin and Clip, part # PC2, for a more secure option, we have Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, part # e98879.
You may also be interested Cargo Carrier Light Kit, part # 20174, which is a must if you will be carrying cargo that will obscure the view of your vehicles tail lights. Part # 20174 would plug into a 4-way harness on the back of your Jeep. If you do not already have a 4-way trailer connector, you will need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, part # 118409.
I have linked a video review of the Cargo Carrier Light Kit, part # 20174. Also linked are instructions for the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, part # 118409, and a video installation on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler that you may find as good reference.
