For your 2003 Chevy S-10 Sportside, I recommend the Curt Class III # 13920 which offers a concealed cross tube. If your bumper is factory, you won't have any issues. If it is aftermarket, I can't confirm you won't need to do any modifications. This hitch is a square tube design with a black powder coat finish over a protective base coat for extremly durable rust resistance.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM41135 which easily connects to factory wiring found either behind the rear bumper or inside the driver's-side frame channel.
For a ball mount, I recommend the Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mount # C45900. This will allow you to tow trailers level and give you a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch hitch ball option.
