I have found a solution for you. The Fastway Tethered 7-Way Cover, # FA82-00-3315 will tether to your 7-way trailer plug and has a rubber cap that will fit over the plug end.
The cap will keep dirt and other contaminates out of the 7-way. I also recommend using # LT37534 dielectric grease with this cap. Applying dielectric grease to the plug's pins will add extra protection from moister and dirt getting into the plug's pins.
