Installing Ramp Spring - 2K Torque for 1-1/2" Shaft - RH # RS16933RH or # RS16933LH requires removing the hinge pin or rod so that the spring surrounds it. I've attached a photo to help.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.

Yes, if you wanted to install the ramp spring part #RS16933RH in the center of a ramp it would work in that orientation. I attached a picture that shows a ramp with the springs mounted more towards the center.
