Adding Electric Over Hydraulic Disk Brakes to a 5th Wheel Trailer with Electric Brakes
Question:
2016 ram 3500 4x4diesel 2015cyclone3100 toyhauler equipt with tandem dexter 7k D70 axles with EZ Lube sys. 5 bolt flange 12x2 electric brakes. #42 spindles. 9/16 wheel studs. I would like to go with ss calipers and mounting plates and the Dacromet coated rotors. Pls note the 9/16 studs. Also would like to use the Hydrastar 1600psi EOH Actuator. Please provide partkit # and pricing. Would also like to add steel line kit for tandem axles. The distance from actuator to forward axle is apppox 18 feet. Distance between axles is 35 inches.. Also want to know if stock brake controller is compatible in dash with selected parts. Side question...... what is a better lube setup, grease or oil bath?

A disc brake set up will need to be pieced together since your trailer has 7K axles. All of the kits only fit 3500 pound axles.
The only option that is close to what you are looking for looks like kit # K2HR79DS (one kit per axle) and would be the best option. But with it the calipers are stainless and the rotors are dacromet. There isn't a stainless steel rotor for this application.
For this kit you would also need bearing kit # BK3-200 (one needed per hub). For an electric over hydraulic actuator that is compatible with disk brakes I recommend # HBA16 with breakaway kit # 50-85-313, and brake line kit # HS496-252 for tandem axle applications.
On your Ram's factory brake controller check to see if it has an electric over hydraulic mode. I do believe that the 2016 models do and if so you would not need to use any kind of adapter or change to an aftermarket brake controller.
A lot of times on the higher capacity axles like the 9K and up axles, oil bath hubs are more common. In your case since you already have EZ Lube axles I would stick with grease because it is easy to add grease with the zerk fittings on the EZ Lube axles. All current pricing is on the page and on the product pages.
