Class IV Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Dodge Ram Bighorn
Question:
I recently purchased a Dodge 2011 Bighorn Ram pickup with dual exhaust . It appears to have a factory bumper hitch, but I want to go to a 2 class IV reciever. Is the Curt #14374 the correct reciever, or is there another model or manufacture that would be a better fit. Thank you

If the factory bumper hitch you are referring to has a ball installed in the step bumper and you do not have a receiver hitch that hangs below your bumper and your 2011 Dodge Bighorn Ram truck is a 1500 then you would want to use the Curt Trailer Hitch for the Dodge Ram, part # 14374, that you referenced.
However, if you do have a factory receiver hitch that hangs below your bumper you will not be able to install the # 14374. If this is the case you should consult your owners manual to determine the towing capacity of the factory hitch, it might be a Class IV hitch.
If your truck is a 2500 or 3500 then you would want a Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch for the Dodge Ram, part # 41929.
I attached installation instructions for both of these products below for you to check out also.
