Recommended Hitch Adapter to Expand Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2015 Dodge Dart
Question:
I have a 2015 Dodge Dart and I was curious if you make any kind of adapters or bolt on products that would make a 1.25 inch receiver into a 2 inch receiver, or vice versa?

We do offer various hitch adapters that can turn the 1-1/4 inch receiver on your 2015 Dodge Dart into a 2 inch opening. For example, the Brophy # HTAD will insert into the receiver opening and provide the larger 2 inch opening needed for a lot of hitch-mounted accessories. An important factor to keep in mind is that that the use of any hitch adapter will reduce its tongue weight capacity by 50%. For example, if your the trailer hitch on your Dodge Dart has a 200 pound weight capacity, this will be reduced to 100 pounds when using an adapter.
For a hitch adapter that reduces a 2 inch receiver opening to 1-1/4 inches, you can use an adapter like the Tow Ready # 80300.
If you need a hitch pin and clip, you will use # PC2 for Class I and Class II trailer hitches, or # PC3 for Class III, IV, and V trailer hitches.
