Recommendation on an Autoslider 5th Wheel Hitch to Fit a 2015 Ram 3500 6-1/2 Bed With Factory Prep
Question:
we are looking at a DRV 38RSB3 with a max load of 20k we want a auto slider hitch we have a 2015 ram 3500 dually with 6foot bed and factory installed puck system. would the pullrite or demco be better also will we need a capture plate with them? pullrite makes the 24k bigger is better!! will we need an adaptor also???

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch, # DM8550035, would be the hitch I recommend for your 2015 Ram 3500 truck. The Demco hitch will fit your the factory prep package by using the Demco Rail Adapter for Ram OEM Prep Package, # DM6099. This adapter will mount in the OEM pucks of your Ram and then you mount the Hijacker hitch to the adapter.
The Demco hitch has a weight capacity of 21,000 lbs and will provide 14 inches of additional clearance when making tight turns. The Demco hitch's wraparound jaw and slide bar locks your trailer king pin in place resulting in a secure connection.
If you have a standard pin box on the 5th wheel trailer, then you will not need a capture plate to operate the Demco Hijacker. However, if your pin box is a MOR/ryde, Trailair Tri-Glide, or another type of air cushion pin box, then you may need a capture plate to use with the Demco hitch.
