Diode Recommendation for Preventing Battery from Draining Other Battery
Question:
I have a John Deere Gator battery A and I pull a Trailer that has a separate battery B to operate a small Hydraulic pump to dump the trailer. I presently charge B by means of a jumper from A Can I install a RM 690 into the jumper wire to keep from drawing from battery Ainch ?. Basically using the RM 690 as a battery Isolator diode. Thank

The diode part # RM-690 that you referenced would be perfect for what you are looking to do. It will allow current to go from the one battery to other but not in the other direction. Basically you just need to install it between the two batteries with the in/out facing the right direction.
