To use your Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 on your new 2017 Ford F-250 with the factory rail kit, you will just need the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter # RP30156. This will mount to the rails on your truck via the Power Puck system and is compatible with your Reese 5th-wheel trailer hitch. I have included a demonstration video of this product for you to review.
Since your F-250 has a shorter bed, you might also consider a sliding hitch like the Reese # RP30051. This hitch will slide 10 inches front to back to help eliminate clearance concerns during slow-speed turns. It also has a weight capacity of 16,000 pounds and vertical load limit of 4,000 pounds. I have included a helpful article on 5th-wheel hitches that explains the clearance needed to make sharp turns on trucks with short beds.
If you do not have one already, I also recommend a 5th-wheel wiring harness like the Curt # C56000. Once installed, this will provide a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck for easy hookup with your trailer.
