Will Automatic Lowering of 2014 Ram 1500 Air Suspension at 60 MPH Affect Weight Distribution Set Up

Question:

I have a Ram 1500 with air suspension. the truck automatically lowers down 2 inches when you reach 60 mph to improve gas mileage. Does this feature change the initial set up of the hitch?

With the truck automatically lowering it would throw off the initial set up of a weight distribution system. What I recommend is to set it up so that the trailer is 1 inch higher than level at the coupler after the system is installed and set up/ready to tow. That is about as much off level as you will want to be with a weight distribution system. Of course if you have the ability to disable that feature while you tow then I would try that first.
