Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer with Brakes Using a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question:

I need a class III hitch, brake controller and wiring assemblies front to rear for a 2004 Ford Sport Trac. I see you are very competitive. Can you give me a quote?

For the Class III trailer hitch receiver I suggest the Draw-Tite # 75112. This is a custom fit 2 inch hitch receiver that will fit your 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac.

The B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10037B is a great adjustable ball mount that provides either 5 inches of drop or 5-1/2 inches of rise. It will also store under the hitch when not in use. Use locking hitch pin # BX8858 or standard pin and clip # PC3. If the Tow & Stow doesn't work with your setup I've linked our selection of ball mounts to fit a 2 inch hitch receiver as well as an article to help you determine the rise or drop you need.

You'll need to hardwire in a 4-way trailer connector # 18252. This includes the quick-splice connectors as well as a light tester. Once you have a 4-way use our # ETBC7 kit to provide you with the 7-way connector and everything you need to install the electric brake controller. For a controller I suggest the Prodigy P2 # 90885 because of how reliable and easy to use it is. The P2 will get hardwired into the Sport Trac under the dash.

I've linked some product videos including one showing how to install the # ETBC7 and brake controller. There's also some articles that you may find helpful as well. In addition you can find all of the pricing under each product page.
