If you have a factory 7-way on your 2016 Infinity QX80, then you will only need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Nissan and Infiniti # 3050-P to get your Draw-Tite Activator IV Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Time Delayed brake controller # 5504 to function correctly.
If you do not have the factory 7-way, then you will need to start with a 4 way connection. If you don't already have one, I recommend using the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This will allow you to capture the signal of your vehicle wiring for your trailer connection without splicing into any wires. The powered modulite will allow the Zero Contact Interface Sensors to transfer the connection to a 4-way flat connection.
You will then use your 4-way connection in conjuction with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This will give you the connectors, wiring, and circuit breakers you need to connect your brake controller and have 7-way trailer connection functions. I've attached videos to help.
