Will Transmission Cooler For 2011 Subaru Forester Get Fluid Too Cold

Question:

Hi, Im looking for a transmission cooler on my 2011 Subaru Forester as I tow a small RV trailer. Living in Québec, Canada, where temperatures are cold in winter, I just want to be sure that the cooler wont make the transmission oil too cold. Does it have a bypass? Regards

With transmission fluid it's really hard to over-cool it. It's not like an engine that has to reach an operating temperature before it runs right and is ready to be driven. Canada does get very cold so in the process of warming up your motor to drive your 2011 Subaru Forester you would have warmed up the transmission fluid plenty even with the Derale # D13503 installed.
