Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2004 Ford E-450 Converted to Bus
Question:
My church had a2004 ford e450 bus and we need a hitch to haul a small luggage trailer. What do you recommend?

Expert Reply:
The problem is that your E-450 is converted to a bus which means the rear frame has been extended and our custom fit hitches are not going to work since they require the non-extended frame.
I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a service body truck like yours are multi-fit hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916.
