Will the NEO2 Bike Rack Fit a 2014 Ford Mustang with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch
Question:
I just installed your Draw Tite 24863 trailer hitch receiver on my 2014 6Cy Ford Mustang. The installation went well and I am very happy with it. I had planned to use my old bike rack that weighs 35 lbs that has a two inch shaft with a 1.25 inch to 2 inch adapter. Now I am getting concerned about both the height and weight. Would this bike rack #B01311 work on the 2014 Mustang ?

Going with a bike rack that is a direct fit to the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24863 for your 2014 Ford Mustang is a good idea. The problem with adapters is that the use of one will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent because the additional length of the adapter puts more stress on the receiver.
The NEO2, # B01748, will fit the Draw-Tite hitch directly and it weighs just 15 pounds by itself so there will be minimal stress on the hitch. I have included a link to a video review of this bike rack for you.
To lock the rack to the vehicle you can use the SilentACT anti-rattle device and lock # SHP2082. It is among the easiest to use because of the cam lever. To lock the bikes to the rack I recommend a cable lock such as # e98891.
