Installation of Fastway Adapter Sleeve with Adjustable Ball Mount into 2-1/2" Trailer Hitch
Question:
Fastway Adapter Sleeve DTADP35 So do you have to drill the second hole in the hitch for this to work

Expert Reply:
To use the Fastway Adapter Sleeve, # DTADP35 with a Self-Locking, Adjustable Ball Mount like the Fastway # DTALBM6600-2S, you will not need to drill any additional holes into your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch.
The holes on the Fastway Adapter Sleeve closest to the vehicle will line up with the existing pin holes on the trailer hitch for the hitch lock to slide through. The holes on the other end of the sleeve will line up with the locking pins of the adjustable ball mount. Once lined up, you will turn the key on the ball mount until it locks into place through these holes.
I have attached an installation video that demonstrates how this works.
