We have a 7-way connector that will fit your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Since you have the 4-way flat connector already installed with the factory tow package, you will probably be able in install a 7-way connector like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C55774. The Curt connector uses the larger round OEM plug that will connect to the plug that is located behind the rear bumper on the drive's side. You will also connect your currant 4-way flat plug to the Curt connector.
If you need a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 and you will need the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # TK93VR for the 2011 Jeep. The P2 is a proportional controller that will automatically adjust your brakes based on the deceleration of your tow vehicle. The P2 is very popular with our customers and installers due to its easy installation and operation. The wiring harness to install the P2 controller should be located under the driver's side dash.
If you are not sure if you have the pre-wired harness for the brake controller, I included a installation video of the P2 on a later model Jeep Grand Cherokee to help you find that harness. I also recommend contacting your local Jeep dealer and provide them with your VIN so they can confirm if you have this harness in your Jeep.
If you do not have the brake controller wiring harness on your vehicle, you will then need to use the # ETBC7 kit to install both the 7-way connector and brake controller. The kit will include all the wiring connections, wire, circuit breakers and hardware needed to install on your Jeep. You will hook your 4-way into the connector and then you will have to run all the wiring needed to connect your brake controller to your vehicle. If you need the # ETBC7 kit you will only need to order the P2 controller # 90885 and not the # 3045-p harness.
I have linked an article on the # ETBC7 kit for you to review.
