4-Pole Wiring Harness Kit for 2005 Ford Free Star Without Tow Package
Question:
The installed converter now does not work. About 9 years old. The left turn signal stopped operating about 6 months ago. Now nothing. The fuse and power to the red wire in to the converter are verified and good. Vehicle lights work correctly. What additional checks can I do ? Is a replace the converter and/or wiring with new? Thanks

Nine years of service from a wiring harness is pretty good, so as annoying as it is not to have things working right, I would say you got your money's worth out of the old harness. Since the functions seem to have died off one by one this does suggest the unit has given its all and should be replaced.
Available 4-pole wiring kits for your 2005 Ford Freestar are shown on the linked page. For your version without the factory tow package, you can use kit # C56673 from Curt. Even though you do have your original harness power wire still in place I would replace it with the new one in the kit.
