Replacement Grease Cap Recommendation for EZ Lube Lippert 3500 lb
Question:
Hi, I bought a new trailer that came with the ez lube zerk fitting and a removable rubber grommet in said grease caps. The problem I have is some fool replaced the rubber grommet with another, which fits very loosely and is unlike the other 3. I foresee issues. I could do the warranty thing but my dealer is 80 miles each way. So, I want to replace all 4 grease caps with standard grease caps. If I buy the non-lubed grease caps will they fit like the EZ Lube grommet junk? Are they deep enough? The last thing I want is wheel bearing grease being flung about, because the grommet pops out. I can pop the non lubed caps to grease my bearings and not worry about some lame grommet. Thanks. I ask you people, because I know ,that you know, what you are talking about.

The 3,500 lb Lippert hubs would take a grease cap that measures 1.988 inches across so the correct part number you need is the # F001518. This cap does not have the rubber center plug.
