Collin: Hey guys, is Collin here at etrailer and today we're going to take a look at Rightline Gears Stretchable Cargo Net. And this is a really nice and simple solution to get any loose cargo you have in the bed of your pickup, maybe inside your enclosed trailer, maybe on your flatbed trailer to get it secured so that doesn't shift it off while you're traveling. Now this is a very versatile cargo net. At its shortest length, you can see right here in our six and a half foot bed, it's doing just fine securing our cargo. Without it stretched at all, it is going to be six feet by five feet, and I would say the longest length, it'll be nine feet by 10 feet, so it's going to be able to really stretch out and get over those longer bed pickups, those trailers that you want to use it for to secure your cargo. But even at it's shorter length right here, you can see snap is still very secure.

You're not have to worry about your contents shifting. Now this net does have a nice bungee construction to it. You can see it's very easy to stretch out, so if you have a longer bed pickup or even an open bay utility trailer, it's going to work for those applications just like it will for our shorter bed pickups. Now you can see right now, we have just some loose boxes secured in the bed of our pickup for travel, but this is also going to be really handy for any situation where you have a lot of cargo that doesn't have a lot of weight to it to put inside the bed of your pickup. One thing that comes to mind is sometimes when people like to bag up leaves or loose grass clippings to transport them somewhere else, well, when you throw those in the bed of your pickup because they don't have a lot of weight that could shift around. You could just throw this cargo over top of it. It'll secure all that stuff for travel.

And what's nice about a cargo net as opposed to something maybe like a tarp to secure your cargo, is that you can see through the cargo net. So all you got to do is look through your rear view mirror, check and make sure everything is good in the bed of your pickup, and then be on your way.Now one that I do when a point out about the cargo net obviously is that when compared to a tarp, it's not going to protect any of your cargo from the elements such as rain, wind, or even snow or sleet. So you just want to keep in mind that anything you put in the bed is going to be exposed to all of that. The net is going to come with 12 of these plastic hooks that you're going to use to secure your net to various tie down points, whether in your truck bed or on your trailer. And what's nice is that we can adjust these to different parts of the cargo net in order to have a more secure fit. So right now you can see I pull it down, get it on my tie down point.

But if you're not quite comfortable with how tight it is, what you can do is just remove it from its current spot. We can come over here to get a tighter fit. Just put the hook on there and from there, we can feel more comfortable about securing our cargo. Now as you can see, even though it does cover a lot of space, when you want to secure your cargo, it folds up nicely into this compact size to make it very easy storage. It's something you could just toss under the seat inside your pickup and then when you need it, you just grab it, and it's ready to use. What's nice is that it's also going to have UV protection so it's not going to fade or crack over time, so it's going to hold its elasticity well and hold up to a lot of years of use.And it's also very easy to install.

You do want to be careful of tossing it around because you do have these plastic hooks. You don't want them to scratch up the bed of your pickup if you are using it for this application. So we'll just toss it over top of our cargo and then begin securing all of our hooks. I usually like to begin by securing each corner first and then going throughout with the other hooks. Now I've got most of my hooks secure. I do have this one at the front left, although there's not really a good spot for me to be able to secure it, and this isn't something to where you're going to have to get all 12 of them secure for it to work properly. As long as you got at least seven or eight secured. Your cargo net is going to be just fine. If you've got a couple of where you can't find a good spot, you can just take them off, stow them in the cab of your pickup, and have them for next time.Well, thank y'all for watching, but that's going to do it for our look at Rightline Gears Stretchable Cargo net.

I believe I was mislead as to how much the cargo net would stretch. I’ll make it work although it’s not what I want.

Won't hold an elephant but otherwise satisfied with what all we can do keeping stuff tied down. We added a couple hooks for places already set in the truck bed.
