Why is There Wide Tongue Weight Range for Curt Weight Distribution System part # C17501
Question:
It lists TW for this hitch, ranges 1000 , 1100 ,2000 , 3000 , 4000 and 5000. How can there be such a wide range if you can over do your capacity and make ride to hard

Weight distribution systems have tongue weight ranges that they are designed to work with. Ideally you want your setup's loaded tongue weight to fall right in the middle of the range. The part # C17501 that you referenced has a tongue weight range of 1,000 - 1,500 lbs. The spring bars are adjustable in how much spring bar tension they can provide and that is why the range is as wide as it seems.
