Does Reese Have Adapter Rails Available for 5th Wheel Hitch on 2016 GMC 3500 with Factory Rail Kit
Question:
I have a 2016 3500 GMC HD 6 1/2 bed. I have the factory installed base for fifth wheel. I see Curt now has a rail kit for their product. I have a 20K reese sliding hitch. Any idea if reese will have a rail kit so I dont need to purchase a new hitch.

I have a solution for you, however Reese does not currently offer adapter rails for the factory installed rail kit on your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500. I did speak with our contact at Reese and he informed me that they are working on this but there is no release date as of early 2017.
With the products on the market now, I recommend the Curt 20K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16541 along with the installation rails, part # C16023. This is a sliding 5th wheel hitch that is custom fit for your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500. It also has a dual jaw locking system that provides a secure and comfortable connection with your trailer's king pin.
I also recommend a 5th Wheel wiring harness such as the Curt # C56000. This wiring harness is custom fit to plug in to your vehicle and will provide a 7-way connector in your truck bed to simplify hookup of your 5th-wheel trailer. I have included a link to the instruction manual for your review.
