RV Bike Rack Recommendation for 45 lb Bikes

Question:

I have a Curt E-100 hitch receiver mounted on a 39foot fifth wheel. I would like to know what bicycle carrier would be recommended. I understand that a non-tilting one would be best. Is Swagman the only manufacturer recommended for RV/Trailer applications? We would be using this very frequently and would like to have one rated at 45lbs per bike. Thank you for your help.

At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use.

The Swagman Dispatch part # S44FR is going to be your best option as it is RV rated and is also rated for bikes that weigh up to 45 lbs.

Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.
