We can help you with the items needed to equip your 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4 door 4x4 (with standard bumpers) for flat towing behind your motorhome. The linked overview article is a great place to start since it lists all the items needed along with the options available.

Let's start with the base plates for the Rubicon. I suggest the Demco kit # DM9519292 for its clean appearance. Installation is shown in the linked video. For a tow bar I recommend the Demco Commander II # DM9511012 which provides a healthy safety margin based on the Jeep's weight. This tow bar includes the required safety cables.

You will also need a wiring/lighting kit of one type or another. There are many types, including inexpensive and easy-to-use magnetic light kits like # TL21RK that do not require you to cut into the Jeep's wiring; there are hardwired diode kits like # RM-154 and bulb-and-socket kits like # RM-155. No matter which you select you will also need a battery disconnect kit # RM-766. All options are shown on the linked page.

In a braking system you also have many options, but the one item I can recommend without hesitation is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, which offers portability and wireless operation for the ultimate in convenience. You will need a 12V outlet kit # RM-9332 along with it. It is not the cheapest option, nor the most expensive. But many of us consider it the best.

A high/low hitch adapter will allow the connected tow bar to remain level for best handling. Tow bars that are out of level can bind and could wear faster. I linked a page for items such as # BX88130. The included article will help you select an appropriate one.
