Can Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution be Used on 2016 GMC Canyon

Is Reese part RP66559 compatible with the 2106 GMC Canyon diesel long box? Also, will this hitch work with any other shank besides the shank included with this hitch or is it better to use included shank?

Yes, the Reese Steadi-Flex System part # RP66559 that you referenced would fit and work well on a 2016 GMC Canyon with a hitch like the Curt part # C13176 installed on it.
It is compatible with standard WD system shanks so you could swap to a different brand if you needed. For a longer one we have the Curt # C17123.
