What Does Wheel Mount Only Mean for Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack
Question:
Your compare specs shows that the NV is wheel mount only as compared to the Sherpa which is both, but shows the NV mounted in the hitch. I am a little confused. Is that one of the differences I have a jeep, but dont want it wheel mounted. The NV is expandable as well? I know the Sherpa is not. Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion! By wheel mount for the Kuat NV part # NV22G we are referring to how the rack attaches to the bikes. Not how the rack mounts to the vehicle. Wheel mount only means that the rack only touches the bikes at the tire/wheel to secure it. This is the preferred method as it means the rack will not come into contact with any painted surfaces. Carbon frame bikes have to use this style since they have a much more delicate construction and you don't want any pressure on the frame.
If you wanted to expand this rack to be a 4 bike rack all you need is the part # NA22G.
