The Curt Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 13013, will not interfere with the spare tire on your 2000 Toyota Tacoma. I have attached an installation video for you to check out.
Some items you may need to complete your Class III towing setup are the Curt Ball Mount, part # C45010, the Pin and Clip, part # PC3, the Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch ball, part # 19247, and the Draw-Tite T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118379.
