Why Would Interior Light Circuit Not Be Active on Enclosed Trailer

Question:

Just bought a new enclosed trailer but the interior lights inside the trailer wont work even though all other exterior trailer lights do work. Its hooked to a 1999 chevy 1/2 ton silverado, new body style. Is it just the trailer accessory fuse that I neef? Thank you.

Check the 12 volt accessory circuit on the 7-way of your truck. This is the pin in the 1:00 position. It carries the 12 volt power circuit used for interior lights and isn't always active on trucks so it is most likely the problem.

If needed you may need to run a 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 up to the battery of your truck through a circuit breaker like part # 9510.
