Recommendations on a Ball Mount and Lock to Fit a 2011 Honda Odyssey with a 12 inch Hitch Height.

You will need two measurements and a little math to determine the correct ball mount for Honda Odyssey. You will need to measure, on level ground, your Honda's hitch height from the top of the receiver hitch opening to the ground. Next, measure from the bottom of your trailer's coupler to the level ground. The difference between these two numbers will determine the rise or drop you will need in your ball mount.

I have attached a link that will show in more detail how to choose a correct ball mount. I also linked to a page that will have all the 1-1/4 ball mounts you can choose from once you know the correct height you will need.

We installed the Draw-Tite hitch, # 36417, on a 2011 Honda Odyssey and found the hitch height ot be 11-3/4 inches. If your 12 inch trailer height is measured at the bottom of the trailer coupler, then I recommend looking for a ball mount with an approximate 1 inch rise like part # 36053 with a 1-7/8 inch ball, # 19254 or a 2 inch ball like # 19258.

Once you have found a ball mount that will work for you, I recommend purchasing the TowReady Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 5200 to use to secure the ball mount to your hitch. The lock is easy to operate by snapping together and will unlock with just a 1/2 turn of the key.
