7-Way and Junction Box Recommendation for Wiring Trailer for New Lights  

Question:

I am building a travel trailer and need advice on wiring. Could you please recommend the parts needed.trailer is 5foot x 10foot I plan on this set up R/L tail,brake,turn back up R/L rear marker R/L front marker Light for license plate Possibly additional back up lights Trailer will be hooking up to a 2007 Toyota Tacoma thank you

For all the functions you are looking for you would want to install a 7-way and then use a junction box to organize the wiring.

Starting with a trailer side 7-Way connector you can use # H20042 which is 3 feet long. It doesn't have to be long though because it is going to the junction box. Speaking of junction boxes you can use # 38656. I have included a picture showing how it can be wired up and a video showing installation to the right.

For the rest of the wiring you can use # DW04914-1 which is sold by the foot. So if you needed 10 feet you would enter 10 into the quantity box. And for ring terminals you can use # 44-5310A. You also might be interested in wire frame clip # 464600 or loom clamp # A0250 to support the new wiring.
