Yes, I can give you step-by-step instructions to install the Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller, part # 90195, in your 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD.
To begin, if you do not have a factory 7-way connector at the the rear of your vehicle, you will need to install Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, part # PK11916.
Then you will need to mount the brake controller, you will want to mount the brake controller level and where the driver can easily reach it. A typical place to mount brake controllers is on the right side of the steering column near or at the bottom of the dash.
After mounting the brake controller, you will need to connect the wires coming out of the P-3 Brake Controller to the wiring on your 2011 GMC. There should be a bundle of wires under the dash between the brake pedal and kick panel. There should be a Red/Black wire, White wire, Light Blue/White wire, Dark Blue wire, and there may or may not be an Orange wire. You will want to connect the Red/Black wire on your truck to the Black wire on the brake controller. Connect the White wire on truck to White wire on brake controller. Connect the Light Blue/White wire on truck to Red wire on brake controller. Connect Dark Blue wire on truck to Blue wire on brake controller (see illustration).
Finally, there a few connections you will need to make under the hood. You will need to locate 2 wires, both wires are red/black with eyelets on the end. One wire is located between the fuse box and driver side fender, the other should be located under the brake master cylinder. On the driver side, remove the fuse box cover, there will be 2 threaded studs that are different sizes, the wires which have different sized eyelets will connect to the corresponding studs using M6 Nut, part # 185916, and M8 Nut, part # 185917.
I have linked a video install of a brake controller on a 2008 GMC Sierra that should be similar to the install on your 2011 GMC Sierra. I have also linked a video installation of part # PK11916 on a 2009 GMC Sierra. There is also an FAQ on brake controllers for the newer model GMC Trucks that shows the wire locations under the hood and the studs where the wires should connect.
