Help Finding Brake Controller Wire Under Hood of 2009 GMC Sierra
Question:
I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 and a Prodigy P2 brake controller i was wanting to install. Before I started to connect anything I looked to make sure I could locate all the wires on the truck. But I ran into a problem trying to find the brake control wire that connects to the fuse box under the hood. My truck is equipped with the towing package and I was able to locate the battery charge wire, just couldnt find the brake control. Is there a chance that it is wrapped on the inside of the plastic sleeve? I dont really want to go cutting that up for no reason. Please help I will try and include a picture.

The wire you are looking for has most likely fall down far enough between the box and the fender that you can't see it. It is down there and may be under the box almost. No GM truck was made without it so you would just need to keep looking till you see it.
If you pull up the loom that is in the black conduit you should see the harness attached to it. I attached a help article that covers this for more info as well.
