Brake Controller Install Harness Recommendation for 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500

HiI have a tekonsha 2030 mark 12 laying in my garage from 10-15 years now and have a 2000 chevy silverado 2500 I want to install it on will it work?? it has 4 wires blue red black and white comming from the back of it, what other components will I need to complete the install? if it will work the chevy, Thanks for your help

The harness you need is the part # 3025-S. You will wire the harness by color to your controller and then will plug the brown connector into the junction box under the dash of your truck.

I think you are going in the right direction. I would definitely replace the 14 gauge wire going to the trailer brake magnets with 10 gauge wire or larger. Usually larger than 10 gauge is hard to get into the trailer connector though. I would also…
