Replacement Fork Skewer for Thule Roof-Mount Tandem Bike Rack TH558
Question:
I have a Thule 558 tandem rack and have always used a yakima locking skewer. Im switching all my racks and locks to thule and have lock cores that all match. It looks like two thule skewers might work. What about the thruride replacement skewer TH535SKR? In the photos, the thruride looks like the flip handle is a little heavier duty. In your opinion, does one seem more durable than the other? will they both work on the 558? Thanks for your help!

The correct replacement fork skewer for the Thule roof-mount Tandem Bike Rack # TH558P is their part # 8535256. The # TH535SKR is not recommended for the Tandem, according to my contact at Thule. ThruRide Fork Adapter # TH535SKR is not a fit for the Tandem.
