Recommended Parts Needed For Flat-Towing 2013 Chevrolet Sonic
Question:
I am looking to purchase baseplate and associated parts for 2013 Sonic. I have a Falcon 2 Roadmaster tow bar and need everything back of that. Pictures show the base plate, but it does not seem to have the parts for tow bar to actually connect to. Help!

When flat-towing there are a few things you need. You will need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle, and a supplemental brake system. I can help you with those items.
For a base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # 523173-4.
The tow bar I recommend is the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, part # RM-522.
For safety cables I recommend safety cables like part # RM-643.
For lighting you can use a light kit like part # RM-2120.
The supplemental brake system I recommend is the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. You want to tow as level as possible and need a high/low hitch adapter. I have attached a link to our product page for the adapters you can check out.
You'll want to check your Sonic owner's manual for any information related to flat towing it. You'll usually find this in the index under the heading recreational towing.
