The 2008 GMC Acadia Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # 75528 is a quality choice for your vehicle, and it comes with all the hardware you'll need for installation.
If you plan on towing, you'll want to grab a wiring harness and ball mount set-up as well.
Wiring harness for a vehicle without a tow package # 118451
Wiring harness with tow package # 118384
I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and convenient storage bag. If the ball mounts in the kit do not have the correct rise or drop for towing your trailer level, then click on the attached link that explains how to measure and choose the correct ball mount for your specific application.
